The challenge was to design an upbeat and intuitive
user interface for a new scanning product specifically for
photographic medium. A graphical user interface was
designed using a photographic metaphor. Since three types of
photographic media were the focus, (slides, negatives, and paper
photographs) preview scans were presented in these three formats
giving the scans their representative personalities. Functions were
made more intuitive through the use of graphical icons leading to an
overall user-friendly experience. We worked closely
with the HP software developers on the implementation of this
interface. |
